Zenzi Ophof

Zenzi Ophof works as a legal advisor at Dutch&Detained, focusing on Dutch detainees in Asia and the Middle East. Before joining Dutch&Detained, Zenzi worked for several years as a senior legal secretary at the Public Prosecution Office at the Court of Appeal in The Hague. There, she worked on large-scale terrorism cases and international crime cases.

Zenzi completed a bachelor’s degree in Global Law at Tilburg University and a master’s in International and Transnational Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam with an honors degree. During her work at the Public Prosecution Office, she also completed a master’s degree in Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, Zenzi interned at the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals and the Court of Appeal in Arnhem.

Zenzi speaks Dutch, English, and has a good command of French.
